In Canada, there’s a remarkable cat named Pico who has captured the hearts of many on the internet, living a full life despite a rare eye condition. Pico, a 9-year-old Norwegian forest cat, has been blind for five years, but that hasn’t stopped him from being an absolute charmer.
Pico’s journey began when he survived being hit by a car during his stray days. Remarkably, the accident didn’t leave any permanent damage, and he was discovered by Marie-Josee Brisson and her daughter Monica at their local vet. Smitten by his charm, they welcomed him into their family.
Five years ago, Pico’s eyes began to change color due to an infection, leading to glaucoma and subsequent blindness. Despite his striking opalescent eyes, Pico doesn’t experience any pain or discomfort. Monica shared on her TikTok channel, “Most of the time he’s fine, but he bumps into furniture sometimes. He knows his way around the house very well.”
Even with his disability, Pico behaves like a normal cat, enjoying his days sunbathing in the grass, though always preferring company outdoors.
