Are you a cat lover? Well, get ready to fall in love even more!

In the northern province of Samsun, Turkey, there is a place called “cat town” that is entirely dedicated to homeless cats.

Yes, you heard it right, an entire town for cats!

This feline paradise was built by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality within a 10,000-kilometer forest area, located inside a municipal animal shelter.

The project took two years to complete and now provides a safe and comfortable home environment for over fifty once homeless cats.

The animal shelter rescues stray cats from the streets and then spays and neuters them. After that, the cats are brought to live inside the cat town.

Age or health status does not discriminate here. The town even welcomes cats with special needs.

Hüseyin Aydin, the resident vet and manager of the animal shelter, ensures that all sick cats living within the facility receive proper treatment before they are released to live with the others.

According to Aydin, this facility is like a five-star hotel for felines. Everything the cats could possibly need for their life or health is provided by the facility.

The town features a series of bridges, walking tracks, and bungalows for cats to live in either alone or with a group of other cats.

The objective of the team at this terrific facility is to provide a happy and healthy life for these furry friends for the rest of their lives.

Although the facility currently houses only fifty cats, Aydin believes that they can definitely expand the area to house more in the future.

So, if you are ever in Samsun, Turkey, don’t forget to stop by “cat town” and say hello to its adorable inhabitants. Who knows, you might even end up adopting one or two!
