Nobody likes to think about the day when our beloved cats cross over the rainbow bridge. It’s probably the toughest part of having a furry family member.

But what if the tables turn, and it’s the owner who passes before their pet? That’s exactly what happened in the case of MacKenzie, the grumpy cat, whose story is as touching as it gets.

Before Angela’s grandfather passed away, he worried about MacKenzie’s fate. This grumpy cat had been a fixture in their lives for over 13 years, and they cherished her deeply.

But Angela stepped in without hesitation. She decided to take care of MacKenzie, ensuring she’d be in good hands.

MacKenzie may seem grumpy, but Angela knows better. Despite her gravelly meows, it’s her unique way of showing love. Angela even jokes that growling is MacKenzie’s love language!

Once under Angela’s care, MacKenzie thrived. They became inseparable companions, going on adventures together. Angela started sharing MacKenzie’s antics on TikTok, where she found solidarity with others who had adopted their grandparents’ pets.

This shared experience made Angela realize something important: there wasn’t a service to help elderly folks plan for their pets’ future after they’re gone. So she founded “My Grandfather’s Cat,” helping seniors find loving homes for their pets before moving into retirement homes or passing away.

Angela’s work has made a difference in the lives of over 45 animals, including a chonky kitty named Mr. Bore. When his adoption fell through, Angela welcomed him into her home, renaming him Mr. Bo. He’s affectionate, cuddly, and full of love.

Angela emphasizes the unmatched love senior cats offer. While all cats deserve loving homes, senior ones often get overlooked. Angela’s service ensures they find the care and attention they deserve.

A big shoutout to Angela for her compassionate work, ensuring senior kitties like MacKenzie and Mr. Bo find their forever homes.
