A wonderful Samaritan, a true hero, rescued Clancy from the tough streets he had known for most of his life. When he arrived at a small local shelter, they noticed he had some battle scars and had tested positive for FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus). But here’s where the story takes a heartwarming turn!
The shelter, despite their limited resources, reached out to the Cat Adoption Team (CAT), who gladly took Clancy under their wing. And oh boy, did Clancy make an impression!
“He loves all the attention and enjoys talking with people with his sweet little meow,” said Heather from CAT. “His big cheeks and cute squeaky meow were very unique, but he also has a big heart, super sweet disposition, and tons of charm and personality.”
Estimated to be between six and seven years old, Clancy received the care he desperately needed. He was treated for a bladder infection, had some much-needed dental surgery, and was scheduled for a neutering operation. With all this love and attention, Clancy began to chirp and squeak with happiness.
The best part? When CAT shared a video of Clancy online, people poured in with love and support. Some even donated in his honor, helping cover his medical costs and supporting other homeless cats and kittens in the shelter.
But here’s where the story gets even sweeter. Clancy quickly found his forever home with a local resident named Sandy. Sandy was completely smitten with Clancy, and Clancy found his person, someone he could talk to every day with his adorable meows.
CAT has been doing this wonderful work for FIV-positive cats for two decades, helping these kitties find homes and spreading love in their local area. Clancy’s story is just one of the many heartwarming tales they’ve been a part of.
