Meet June, the adorable blind kitten who found her forever home and a loving family in Cape Town, South Africa.
Holly, a dedicated volunteer at the Domestic Animal Rescue Group (DARG), took on the task of fostering June when she arrived as a stray kitten. Despite June being blind, Holly welcomed her into her home with open arms.
“June may be blind, but that doesn’t stop her from exploring and enjoying life,” Holly happily shared.
June quickly adapted to her new surroundings, mapping out the house and soon running around with the same zest as any sighted cat. Holly, fostering June for several months, couldn’t help but fall in love with the energetic and affectionate feline.
Enter Andrew and Rebecca, a couple who discovered June through a Facebook post. Without even meeting her in person, they decided to adopt her, and the adoption process went smoothly.
“June immediately clicked with her new dad, Andrew. She’s a true ‘daddy’s girl,'” said Holly.
During the car ride to her new home, June wasted no time in claiming her spot on Andrew’s neck, showcasing her determination and affection.
Upon arriving home, it was apparent that June’s new feline sisters weren’t initially interested, but June persisted in making friends. Now, they’re a close-knit trio of sisters who adore each other.
“When she’s not hanging out with her sisters, June loves going for walks with her family. It’s become one of her favorite things,” Holly shared.
For Andrew, Rebecca, and the entire family, June has become an irreplaceable part of their lives, filling their hearts with love and joy. It’s a heartwarming tale of a blind kitten finding her forever home and creating a special bond with her human and feline family members.
