Let me tell you a story about a kitty named Burma who helped his human, Stephen, cope with PTSD as a war veteran.
Along with his furry friend Puppi, Burma changed Stephen’s life for the better.
Coping with PTSD can be tough, but Stephen discovered “adventure therapy” thanks to his friend.
So, he and Puppi set out on an adventure to the mountains of Southern Oregon, living out of a jeep.
Life was becoming rewarding again, and Stephen felt like he was slowly returning to his natural self.
Then in 2013, Burma came into Stephen’s life when a girl approached him with a box of kittens.
“I first met Burma when a homeless girl approached me with a box of kittens. I knew the second she handed him to me that I was going to keep him. He was absolutely irresistible,” Stephen shared.
Now with Burma and Puppi, Stephen’s family was complete.
The three of them had amazing adventures together, with Burma quickly adjusting to his new life and proving to be an adventure cat.
Stephen described himself as a “picture-holic” type of person and documented their adventures with his phone.
Burma now has his own Instagram page with over 67,000 followers and almost 2,000 pictures and videos.
Sadly, Puppi crossed the rainbow bridge in 2020 as a 16-year-old dearly beloved pet and furry pal.
Both Stephen and Burma still miss him, but there’s still so much of the great outdoors to be explored, with Puppi in their memory.
Burma is now almost ten, and he’s a strong and curious kitty who loves his life and everything it brings. And what a fabulous life it is! Check out the video to see Burma the Adventure Cat in action.
