Sarabi found herself in an emergency veterinary clinic when her family could no longer care for her. She had given birth to one kitten, Simba, but encountered difficulties delivering the rest. Rushed into an emergency c-section, Simba turned out to be the sole survivor of the litter.
Marie, the founder of One Cat at a Time, stepped in to help. She arranged a foster home for Sarabi’s healing journey and ensured that Simba, her little treasure, was well taken care of. Despite the hardships, Sarabi embraced her mommy duties, and Simba, with his voracious appetite, started hitting milestones.
“Sarabi is her little treasure, and she takes care of him so well in spite of what she has been through,” Marie shared. The ER vet covered all expenses, and while Sarabi recovered, her foster family ensured Simba thrived.
Post-surgery, Sarabi dove into motherhood, regaining strength, and watching Simba grow. Her fur coat became fluffier each day, and Simba blossomed into an inquisitive and adventurous kitty.
After multiple litters, Sarabi was ready to retire from motherhood and savor the peace she deserved. Rediscovering toys and zoomies, she spoke her mind, curled up next to her humans, and enjoyed TV time.
Simba, now a giant love-bug, befriended other kitties and underwent surgery for a “minor anomaly” in his mouth. Growing his lush fur coat and loving regular brushing, Simba has become a charming feline.
At eight years old, Sarabi found a wonderful forever home where she could live like a queen. The family fell in love with her story and welcomed her with open arms. Sarabi now plays and thrives, showcasing her beautiful, fluffy coat, living happily in her forever home with loving humans.
