At Catnap Cafe in Christchurch, New Zealand, one cat had a knack for stealing muffins – and hearts! Her name was Bea and she was the cafe’s hungriest resident. Not only was she an adorable, friendly girl, but she was also a total menace!

From the moment she joined the cafe crew at the age of 5 months, Bea had been determined, confident, sassy and full of character. She was also very energetic, chatty and playful. What made her stand out was her neurological condition, cerebellar hypoplasia, which made her a bit wobbly and uncoordinated – but she didn’t let it slow her down!

Bea quickly became notorious for her love of muffins, and the cafe had to create a page-long “Muffin Disclaimer” to warn customers that she would climb on them to try and get the baked goods!

“She has a tendency to throw herself at things and climb them, including people, especially if she spots a muffin in your hand!” Catnap Cafe wrote. “It’s pretty cute; however, she’s not very good at it so if you’re the target it can be a little painful.”
