You won’t believe what this clever cat named Amber did! She’s one smart feline, but her latest “tricks” caused quite a wet and wild disaster!
Jasmin Stork, Amber’s owner, found out the hard way that pets can sometimes be a bit too mischievous. Amber, the Bengal cat, discovered her love for playing with the bathroom sink. Can you imagine?
When Jasmin went out for just half an hour, little Amber decided to have some fun with the tap and drain. She taught herself to turn on the water and even managed to close the drain. Impressive, right? Well, the fun didn’t stop there!
As Jasmin returned home after a quick lunch run, she was in for a shocking surprise. The living room was flooded with water! The sink had been left running, and Amber couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. Oh dear!
“I was on the phone with my mom, and she could hear the horror in my voice when I opened the front door to my living room pouring with water,” Jasmin shared in an interview.
Thankfully, the damage was mostly contained to the bathroom, hallway, and the living room below. It could have been much worse if Jasmin had been away for longer. Repairs are still going to cost a pretty penny, but the ceiling held up, so at least that’s something!
And guess what? Amber was totally unapologetic! She thought it was all great fun, splashing around in the water with her paws like she was having a pool party.
Jasmin made a video showing Amber’s crafty skills leading up to the “cat-astrophe,” as well as the aftermath of the flood. It went viral on TikTok, racking up over 140,000 views!
We just hope Amber won’t teach herself any more water tricks, or Jasmin might need to have a pet sitter whenever she goes out. Can you imagine coming home to a water park in your living room? Phew!
