Meet Roswell, the cat who’s redefining the term ‘social butterfly’ in the feline world. He’s all about making new friends, and he recently struck up an unexpected friendship that left his family pleasantly surprised.

You see, Roswell’s mom is a big fan of Halloween – it’s her favorite holiday, and she’s all about decking the halls, or rather, the house, with spooky decorations. So, while she was out shopping, she stumbled upon a Halloween skeleton cat decoration and thought, ‘Why not?’ After all, what better way to pay homage to her beloved feline companion?

She brought the skeletal kitty home and contemplated where to place it. But before finding its permanent spot, she had a brilliant idea: why not introduce it to Roswell and see how he reacts?

Well, folks, what happened next was nothing short of adorable.

“He immediately ran right up to it and started sniffing it,” said Lindsey Kuzmin, Roswell’s mom. “Within a few minutes, he was licking it like he was trying to groom it and kept brushing up against it. I wasn’t expecting him to be quite so friendly with the skeleton cat right away, but he absolutely loves it.”

So, there you have it – a friendship born within minutes.

Now, Roswell and his skeleton buddy are inseparable. His mom keeps the skeletal friend in her office, where Roswell spends most of his day, so it’s always within paws’ reach.

“He’ll walk by it and brush up against it like he’s saying hi, and will sometimes give it kisses too,” Kuzmin said.

The skeleton cat even joins Roswell on his stroller rides, one of his all-time favorite activities. Having his new little buddy by his side makes these outings even more enjoyable.

Now, Roswell’s sister, Leela, wasn’t quite as smitten with the skeleton cat at first, but with Roswell’s gentle persuasion, she’s slowly warming up to it. After all, Roswell is all about harmony and making sure his loved ones get along.

When Kuzmin originally bought the skeleton cat, she had no idea it would become such a permanent fixture in their household. It’s no longer just a Halloween decoration; it’s become a cherished member of the family.

“The skeleton cat is like family now, so I’ll be keeping it around all year,” Kuzmin proudly declared.
