Here is an incredible rescue story that happened in NYC! It all started when Meagan, from Puppy Kitty NYCity, got a call about a poor cat who had been abandoned outside a building. This little tabby had been sitting there, frozen in fear, for days.
When Meagan arrived, she found the exhausted and terrified kitty huddled against the wall. But as she approached him, something magical happened. He let out a timid meow and, surprisingly, turned into an instant lap cat!
“I feel like he realized he was safe right away,” Meagan said with a smile. She gently scooped him up and, though she didn’t have a proper carrier, he just settled on her lap, head-butting everything in contentment.
The cat, later named Capone, clearly didn’t belong to the streets. He was a mess – skinny, matted fur, and dirty ears – but he had so much love to give.
Capone snuggled with Meagan throughout the ride home, and from that moment, his transformation was incredible. He let Meagan shave off the matted knots without a fuss, and he just loved every single head scratch he got.
With good food and plenty of tender loving care, Capone filled out and his coat grew back shiny and soft. He was overjoyed to have a warm lap to sit on and a cozy bed to sleep in.
