So, about a month back, there was this stray cat spotted hanging around a house in Bronx, NY. Poor thing was looking all scruffy and trying to get indoors, probably seeking some warmth.
But, hey, there’s always a hero in these stories, right? A Good Samaritan saw the cat’s plight and couldn’t just leave it out there. So, she reached out to Little Wanderers NYC, a local animal rescue, to lend a helping paw. “The cat was cold and sitting in front of this house waiting to come indoors. We know he deserves better than this,” the rescue shared.
Right away, Little Wanderers NYC swung into action. Roz, one of their volunteers, wasted no time. With the help of a buddy, she scooped up the cat and whisked him off to safety. And just like that, the kitty bid farewell to the tough street life.
Now, this kitty, who they named Corrado Jr., was a bit shy at first, understandably. But once he got settled in, oh boy, did he change his tune.
Corrado Jr. was looking a bit rough around the edges and tested positive for FIV, a common thing among tomcats who’ve been roughing it on the streets. But with a little TLC, he started to perk up.
After a few days of chilling out and adjusting to his new digs, Corrado Jr. let out the sweetest little meow, almost like a thank you to his rescuers. And boy, did he chow down on those meals like there was no tomorrow.
When he finally snuggled up in his foster mom’s arms for the first time, you could practically see the smile on his furry face. He was in kitty heaven.
With each passing day, Corrado Jr. started to let his personality shine. Head-butting, cuddling, you name it, he was all in. And let’s talk about his meow – it’s hands-down one of the cutest and most unique ones out there.
Now, Corrado Jr. might get along with other cats, but deep down, he’s a one-human kinda guy. After braving the streets for who knows how long, he’s soaking up every ounce of love and affection he can get.
And let me tell you, this guy’s a pro at being held and snuggled. He practically melts into a purring puddle of happiness whenever someone shows him some love.
From sitting outside that house, hoping for a meal and some warmth, to now living the good life indoors, Corrado Jr. has come a long way, thanks to a whole lot of love and care from his rescuers.
