Say hello to S’mores, the kitty with a heart of gold and a story that’ll warm yours! Even though she’s now two years old, she’s still rocking the size of an 8-week-old kitten. But don’t let that tiny stature fool you – she’s a true survivor.

S’mores had a rocky start to life, facing a serious head injury when she was just six weeks old. A cat carrier mishap left her immobilized and brain damaged, and her situation was grim. “She couldn’t walk or eat on her own. Vets weren’t sure if she would make it or how she would be if she survived,” explained The Odd Cat Sanctuary, the incredible shelter that took her under their wing.

This unique sanctuary specializes in caring for ferals, sick cats, senior cats, and those in dire circumstances. They saw the spark in S’mores and refused to give up. “She couldn’t walk or eat or drink, however with supportive care she was able to survive and thrive. Her recovery was about three months she just laid there non-responsive getting nutrients from a feeding tube,” they shared.

Slowly but surely, S’mores started showing signs of life. She went from taking water by syringe to showing interest in food, eventually regaining the ability to walk, even if it was initially in circles. Despite her progress, she remained pint-sized.

She found solace and care at the sanctuary, surrounded by friends and caretakers who were dedicated to her recovery. With each passing day, her strength grew. She was soon using the litter tray and exploring furniture like a regular feline. The shelter’s founder, deeply moved by S’mores’ spirit, decided to adopt her. S’mores found her forever home where she’s showered with love and affection.

But don’t let her size fool you – S’mores is bursting with life. She adores everyone around her, emitting constant chirps and purrs that fill the air. She’s a true testament to the power of love and determination. At two years old, she’s still tipping the scale at just two pounds, resembling an eternal kitten. Yet, her heart is grand and her joy is boundless.

“She’s full of life, loves everyone, chirps constantly, and goes in circles to the left quite often. She purrs nonstop.” Thanks to the tireless efforts of those who never gave up on her, S’mores is thriving in her forever home, a living embodiment of resilience and the unbreakable bond between humans and felines.
