A cat found herself in quite a pickle, but some kind folks came to her rescue.
About two months back, on a scorching hot day, a caretaker of a cat colony noticed a new face who had been left behind. The poor kitty was so desperate to beat the heat that she walked right into a bowl filled with water. Can you blame her?
Now, picture this: the cat was panting heavily, all four paws dipped in the water, trying to cool down. The temperatures that day were just unbearable, and she was clearly suffering from heatstroke.
When the caretaker tried to scoop her out to get her some help, guess what? She tried to fight her way back into the water! Talk about being committed to staying cool.
Alina Lazaryeva, who’s the amazing person behind Kuwait Animal Aid, didn’t waste any time. She quickly arranged transport and a foster home for the cat, hoping to give her a safe haven away from the blistering heat and tough street life.
“We found a volunteer to drop Bubble (that’s what they named her) off to a foster home. She was very friendly from day one,” Alina shared.
Despite feeling a bit sluggish and dealing with some health issues, Bubble continued to be a sweetheart to everyone she met. She must’ve been so relieved knowing she had a cozy place to call home and a loving foster mom to take care of her.
After a good dose of hydration and some yummy food, Bubble flopped onto her new bed for a well-deserved nap. Rest was just what the doctor ordered.
While Bubble got treated for some health hiccups, she never lost her good spirits. She even learned to eat on her own! What a champ.
As Bubble got healthier and stronger, her desire for attention and cuddles grew. Whenever her foster mom came in, she’d greet her with the cutest head snuggles.
Bubble’s curiosity started to kick in, and she began exploring her new home, following her human around. She realized that having company made her feel safe and content.
Throughout her journey to recovery, Bubble has always shown the sweetest temperament and constant gratitude, expressed through purrs and head-bumps.
Now, here’s the scoop on Kuwait – it’s a tough place for abandoned animals. According to Alina, it’s a daily occurrence, and no breed is safe. But Alina and her squad of volunteers are on the front lines, rescuing these furry friends and giving them a shot at a full, happy life.
Bubble, along with other rescued pals, is set to make a journey to partner rescue organizations in the United States this October. They’ll be looking for their forever homes.
Bubble will be joining the adoption program at Friends for Life Rescue Network in Oregon, where she’ll find a loving family to cherish her for life.
But for now, Bubble is living the good life, soaking in all the love and pampering from her foster family. She’s back to being a playful, inquisitive house cat, just the way it should be.
