Meet Forest, the cat who went from a stray with a bum leg to a foster kitten whisperer.
His life took a 180 when Erica, a vet tech, found him at a cat cafe, instantly reminded of her late cat Banjo.
Not only did Forest resemble Banjo, but he also shared the same easygoing demeanor. “He was just a gentle giant with three legs. I knew I had to adopt him,” Erica shared.
Now living his best life with Erica, Forest brought tranquility to the household, making lounging and eating his favorite pastimes.
But it wasn’t long before Forest discovered a new passion—foster kittens. When he overheard tiny meows coming from the kitten room, he patiently waited outside the door, eager to “talk” to the little furballs.
“Every kitten I brought home was immediately drawn to him,” Erica said. Forest, with the patience of a saint, lets the kittens come to him, creating a safe space for them. “They always feel so safe and comfortable around him.”
Forest doesn’t just lie around; he actively babysits and nurtures the kittens. Grooming them and teaching them how to play, Forest plays a vital role in their development. And when it comes to mealtime, he’s not shy about voicing his desire for a bite.
Whether it’s Ashley, a long-haired tabby, or Cookie, the tortie, Forest’s nurturing nature shines through. He provides each foster kitten with a generous dose of love, cuddles, and valuable life lessons, preparing them for their forever homes. What a purr-fectly charming foster dad!
