When Grant Olson and Sara Nozaki brought home the stray cat who now goes by the name Wilbur, little did they know they were adopting a furry friend with some serious human vibes!
“We’ve always wanted a cat,” Sara shared. The decision to get a cat got a push when a tiny mouse made a surprise visit to their New York apartment. As Sara recalled, “That’s when he put his foot down and said, ‘Babe, we’re getting a cat!'”
Grant, casually scrolling through the New York City subreddit, stumbled upon a post featuring Wilbur’s picture. The post questioned if anyone owned the cat. Grant, half jokingly, commented, “Hey, if you can’t find his owner, I might be willing to take him.” Two days later, Wilbur found his forever home.
Now, what makes Wilbur stand out? Well, this adorable feline has a penchant for sitting like a little human. Despite the occasional odd position due to his unique physique – possibly a long spine or short legs – Wilbur has made himself quite comfortable.
But that’s not the only human-like trait Wilbur possesses. According to Sara, “We think his spine is abnormally long or his legs are abnormally short. But he’s extraordinarily cute to us.”
Apart from being an expert in human-style sitting, Wilbur is a cuddle enthusiast and an absolute lovebug. He doesn’t just stop at human-like sitting; he’s taken over his humans’ bed, claiming his territory.
And here’s the kicker – Wilbur has a fondness for playing fetch! Yep, you read that right. This little feline has a not-so-cat-like hobby. Plus, like many cats, he indulges in the classic tail-chasing routine.
So, in the words of encouragement, “Go Wilbur!” This quirky cat has indeed brought an extra dose of joy and laughter to his humans’ lives.
