There was a tiny kitten named Sheldon who lost an eye but gained a loving forever home. Cue the happy ending music!
Poor Sheldon lost the use of one of his eyes when his previous owners let an infection go unchecked.
They surrendered him to an animal shelter where he spent a month before being rescued by his new humans.
“When we got him at the shelter, (my boyfriend) called his name, and Sheldon instantly came over,” said his new mom, mandapanda1218.
On the ride home, Sheldon wouldn’t stop meowing and had to be held to calm down. He was really shy at first, finding a hiding spot immediately.
But with time and a $200 cat supply shopping spree, Sheldon started opening up to his new mom, purring loudly on her lap.
“He loves playing with our 2 rats (Loonette and Debbie). Sometimes he gets a bit too rough, but Loonette is quick to kick his butt when he needs it,” his mom laughed.
Sheldon also loves snuggling up next to his mom and on top of her chest, even if it means less sleep for her. But she doesn’t mind, saying, “I love this cat so much. I’m so glad we found him and was able to give him a forever home.”
