Introducing the one and only Belarus!
This fabulous feline hails from San Francisco and is the talk of the town because of his unique feature: he’s cross-eyed!
Unfortunately, his previous owners had to move and couldn’t take him with them, so they surrendered him to an animal shelter.
But don’t feel too bad for Belarus, because the shelter staff knew he was something special from the moment they laid eyes on him (even if his eyes don’t always point in the same direction). In fact, they created an Instagram page for him to help him find a new home.
And that’s where Rachel comes in.
She was on the lookout for a new kitty to adopt when she stumbled upon Belarus’ Instagram page. It was love at first sight! Belarus must have felt the same way too, because he snuggled up to her as if to say “Let’s go home!”
Rachel showered Belarus with all the love and affection he deserved, and he quickly became the king of the castle.
But that’s not all – since joining Rachel’s family, Belarus has become an internet sensation with over 390k followers on Instagram!
Belarus’ fame even caught the attention of a clothing company called Bonfire, who created a whole line of clothing featuring his adorable face.
And the best part? 100% of the profits go to animal charities and shelters in his area. Thanks to his fans, Belarus has helped raise over $12,000 so far!
So the next time you hear someone say “Love is blind,” remind them that it’s actually “cross-eyed” – just like Belarus!
