Little Phoebie had a tough start in life, with her crooked front legs making her family decide they couldn’t care for her. But luckily, there are kind souls out there, like Sophie, who saw her online and knew she needed a chance.
Sophie swooped in, named her Phoebie, and got in touch with Chatons Orphelins Montreal (COM) to give her the help she needed. Finally, Phoebie was with people who cared.
When she arrived at the shelter, she was literally crawling on her elbows, weighing only a pound. But despite her struggles, she had a strong heart and was determined to get better.
After surgery to correct her legs, Phoebie’s progress was remarkable. She couldn’t wait to try walking on all fours, and soon enough, she was playing, running, and jumping like any other kitten.
With the care she received at the shelter and from her foster mom Jess, Phoebie’s health improved dramatically. At three months old, she was already pre-adopted, but she stayed with Jess for an extra two months to ensure she was fully ready for her new home.
During her time with Jess, Phoebie developed a diva attitude and loved voicing her opinions, especially when demanding attention. She also enjoyed the company of other animals, making her foster home a fun and loving environment.
Now, Phoebie has grown into a beautiful, healthy kitty with straight legs, ready to embark on the rest of her life with her new loving family. She finally found humans who adore her just the way she is and are more than happy to shower her with all the attention she deserves.
