So, picture this: one day, a tiny ball of fur showed up at a woman’s doorstep, meowing for help, and that was it—no turning back.
The little fluff, named Moxie, was in a pretty sorry state—skin and bones, covered in dirt, and dealing with some nasty respiratory issues. The woman who found her didn’t hesitate and reached out to Chatons Orphelins Montreal for backup.
Cue a two-hour rescue mission, and Moxie was on her way to the safety of the rescue. Celine Crom from the organization shared, “She was so scrawny that I could feel her every bone. She had discharge from her nose and a lot of stomach issues.”
But guess what? This pint-sized warrior had a strong will to live. In no time, Moxie found herself in a cozy foster home, and oh boy, was she ready to make up for lost meals.
“When we put her in a warm bed, she purred instantly. She was so happy to be cared for,” said Celine. After a few days of good food and TLC, Moxie was on the mend, breathing easy and showing off her playful side.
And let me tell you, Moxie’s social game is on point. She clicked with the house cat right away and transformed into this mischievous, energetic ball of fur who hates being alone.
“Moxie is full of life and will play for hours. She has boundless energy, and everything is an excuse to play,” Celine added. Plus, she’s got a knack for making friends. Moxie hasn’t met a stranger—guests, toys, you name it, she’s thrilled!
Fast forward to today, Moxie is a whole new cat—healthy, round-faced, with big bright eyes. She’s not just a lap warmer; she’s the ultimate shadow, following her humans around and making sure playtime is always on the agenda.
So, from a doorstep plea to a playful, purring bundle of joy, Moxie’s journey is one for the books.
