Bug’s journey began when a kind-hearted woman found her in her driveway, meowing for help. She was a little black and white kitty with one eye missing and other potential health issues.
So, the woman reached out to the Liberation Cat House in Orlando, hoping to give Bug a chance at a better life.
Ashley, a foster mom and director of the organization, stepped in to care for Bug. Right away, Ashley was captivated by Bug’s unique charm, and Bug, in turn, quickly warmed up to her new foster mom.
“Bug is very active, energetic, and spunky!” shared Ashley. “She has a big personality for a little kitten and is very curious.”
Bug’s trip to the vet revealed several congenital conditions affecting her heart, sight, and breathing.
Despite having only one nostril, a cleft lip, and eye issues, Bug’s biggest challenge was a restrictive ventricular septal defect—a hole in her heart.
While there was no easy fix for Bug’s heart and eye conditions, she remained blissfully unaware of her health challenges, embracing life with boundless energy and enthusiasm.
“Bug doesn’t let anything hold her back, and she continues to live her best life,” explained Ashley.
Bug’s playful spirit shone through as she chased toys, climbed cat trees, and even stole a piece of paper for playtime. Despite her limited vision, Bug navigated her surroundings with confidence, rarely letting obstacles slow her down.
With her infectious personality and indomitable spirit, Bug quickly won over everyone she met. Soon, she found her forever home with an experienced caregiver in Pittsburg, where she’ll receive ongoing care for her heart condition.
Bug’s journey serves as a reminder that even in the face of adversity, a big heart and an unstoppable spirit can light the way to a brighter tomorrow.
