This furry bundle of joy was discovered at an auto shop, and her journey of rescue is one for the books.
About two months ago, four adorable 3-week-old kittens arrived at Newborn Kitten Rescue via the Arizona Humane Society. Each kitten was named after a car—Lexus, Bronco, Porsche, and Tacoma. However, it was Lexus, the torbie beauty, who had quite a tale to tell.
When Lexus arrived, she was underweight and struggled to eat consistently. Her road to recovery hit a speed bump as she began to decline. Losing weight and unable to keep food down, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and feline panleukopenia—a tough combo.
But this feisty feline had an unyielding will to live!
With a team of dedicated veterinarians working tirelessly, Lexus was admitted and received round-the-clock intensive care.
After five days at the hospital, she rallied back, her strength shining through. And oh boy, did she find her voice! Lexus unleashed a chorus of raspy meows, demanding cuddles and attention from everyone around her. This little survivor stole the hearts of the entire staff with her tenacity.
Returning to her foster home, Lexus wasted no time making her presence known. She expressed her “opinions” loud and clear whenever her foster mom entered the room. With boundless ferocity packed into her petite frame, she charmed everyone she met.
As Lexus regained her strength, her playful side emerged. She embraced every moment of joy, whether it was exploring, grooming, or simply being held close. Her foster mom even fashioned a little sling to keep Lexus nestled and content. Shoulder rides and snuggles became her favorite pastimes.
This torbie dynamo brought immeasurable joy to the staff and volunteers. Her vibrant personality and unwavering love for people never failed to brighten their days. Whether she was playing, napping, or showering others with purrs, Lexus was a force of pure happiness.
Nowadays, Lexus thrives alongside her foster brothers, engaging in playful romps and wrestling matches without a care in the world. She’s a snuggle enthusiast, adoring face-to-face rubs and neck scritches. And guess what? She even takes naps tucked up under your chin!
