I’ve got an amazing story to share with you. It’s about a little orange tabby kitten named Lucky Seven who went through a complete transformation and found his happily-ever-after.
Let me set the stage for you. We’re in the Bronx, New York, where a kind-hearted resident named Sarena has been working hand in hand with a local rescue called Little Wanderers NYC. Their mission? To help stray and feral cats in the neighborhood.
One day, early last month, Sarena stumbled upon a tiny orange kitten in the basement of a residential building. Poor little thing, his face was covered in crust, his eyes were shut tight due to a severe upper respiratory infection, and he was all dirty and covered in debris. On top of that, he was seriously underweight and struggling to breathe.
Sarena wasted no time and rushed the kitten to one of Little Wanderers NYC’s partner veterinarians. They provided him with urgent care, treated him with fluids, and thankfully, he became strong enough to leave the hospital. The folks at Little Wanderers NYC couldn’t help but share, “What a remarkable, courageous little kitten.”
Now, this brave little tabby named Lucky Seven started to perk up. He began meowing, craving attention and love. He managed to open his eyes and see the world around him for the first time in a while. He even rolled onto his back, inviting belly rubs. The volunteers continued his treatment for the upper respiratory infection and made sure he was fed around the clock.
As time went by, Lucky Seven, who was estimated to be around 4 and a half weeks old, got better and better. He was taken into a foster home with a wonderful lady named Adrienne. She provided him with a comfortable environment where he could continue his healing process and grow.
With a clean face and the help of deworming medication, Lucky Seven could breathe much easier and absorb nutrients more efficiently. Within just one week, this once sickly kitten did a complete 180. He transformed into a lively little guy with bright eyes and an insatiable appetite for food and affection.
“He’s lucky to be alive, and he’s got the lungs to prove it. He’s happy,” the folks at Little Wanderers NYC exclaimed proudly.
Lucky Seven had a special bond with Adrienne. She spent plenty of time with him and even gave him a faux momma so he wouldn’t feel lonely. He would crawl onto her lap, crying for constant attention and pets.
Once Lucky Seven became healthy enough to explore the rest of the house and socialize, Adrienne introduced him to her resident cat, Casper. Now, here’s the amazing part—Casper was also rescued by Sarena from the same building in the Bronx. It’s like fate brought them together!
Casper took the orange tabby under his wing, as if he knew exactly what he needed. The two of them started sharing toys, cardboard boxes, and even cat trees. They truly reveled in each other’s company.
Lucky Seven, now known as Arthur, has never stopped showing Adrienne how grateful he is to be safe. He greets her with the warmest purrs and snuggles and follows her around like a perfect little shadow.
Indoor life has done wonders for his personality. Arthur scampers around the house as if he owns the place. When he tires himself out from all the fun, he curls up in his comfy bed and melts into it.
He’s so full of joy knowing that he has loving humans to cater to his every whim and a feline brother to scheme and play with.
You know what’s even more heartwarming? Initially, Adrienne had brought Arthur home to foster him, but she fell head over heels for the little guy. She couldn’t bear to let him go. “We fell in love with him. He’s a spirited little guy with endless energy. It feels like fate that he’s becoming good friends with our Casper, who was also rescued by Sarena in the same building in the Bronx,” Adrienne shared.
After a rough start, Arthur is now living the dream life he’s always deserved. He has wonderful human parents and a cat brother who looks after him.
This heartwarming tale deserves to be shared, don’t you think? So go ahead and tell your friends about it.
