Say hello to Rosie, the fearless kitten with three paws who’s on a mission to win over hearts and conquer the world!
So, here’s the scoop: three adorable 5-week-old kittens found themselves in a tight spot at a shelter. One of them, Rosemary (aka Rosie), was the tiniest of the trio and happened to be missing a paw. Caroline Grace, the superhero behind Baby Kitten Rescue, got wind of the urgent plea and knew she had to swoop in to the rescue.
“When the kittens (Rosemary, Lavender, and Basil) first arrived, they were dehydrated, emaciated, covered in fleas and full of parasites,” Caroline shared.
Now, the spotlight was on Rosie, the tripod wonder. Despite being significantly smaller and a bit like a mini-skeleton, this little fighter wasn’t ready to back down. “At five weeks old, she weighed as much as a 2-week-old,” Caroline revealed.
But fear not, Mia, Rosie’s foster mom, stepped in, and the transformation began. Mia shared, “When I first picked up Rosie, I quickly realized she was so much smaller than her littermates, very lethargic and covered in fleas. Even in her most vulnerable moment, Rosie was purring and yearning for love.”
Born with three full limbs and a tiny arm sporting an elbow and wrist joint, Rosie is a true survivor. She didn’t let her size or missing paw slow her down. “We were amazed at how well and easily Rosie adapted to her missing limb. She had no problem getting around,” Caroline exclaimed.
In her safe haven, Rosie thrived. She gained strength, put on weight, and transformed into a little ball of energy. As a tripod, she hops around like a cute bunny during playtime, running with boundless joy.
But here’s the best part – Rosie isn’t just a bundle of energy; she’s a people-loving sweetheart. “Her personality first and foremost is resilient. She is so cuddly and playful. Her nub doesn’t stop her at all, and she loves running around my house, playing with my older cats, and especially being near me,” Mia shared.
Rosie is all set to embark on a new adventure with her forever family this holiday season. As for her siblings, Basil and Lavender, they’re a bonded pair ready to find their happily-ever-after together.
Rosie, the little princess with three paws, proves that a missing limb doesn’t define her – it just makes her journey all the more special.
