When Mochi, a 4-week-old kitten with severely infected eyes, arrived at Saving Grace Rescue in San Francisco, he was in rough shape and had lost his sight.

Mochi refused to be alone, always sticking close to his foster parents. He had a penchant for perching on their shoulders, nestled under their necks, or cradled in their arms.
Although he couldn’t see, Mochi found comfort in their presence as he explored the world around him. With each passing week, his energy skyrocketed, and he grew more determined.
Knowing that Mochi needed a playmate, Joyce, the foster mom, introduced him to another rescued kitten named Waffles. It was an instant connection.
Waffles, a tabby with a heart of gold, understood Mochi’s needs and became his steadfast companion. They played, cuddled, and showered each other with love.
Waffles took on the role of Mochi’s seeing-eye buddy, showing him the way and teaching him the ins and outs of their foster home.
With Waffles by his side, Mochi gained confidence and began venturing out to explore. From conquering the bed to mastering the stairs, Mochi’s bravery flourished under Waffles’ watchful guidance.

As Mochi continues to grow, he will undergo eye surgery to prevent infections. The dynamic duo is now seeking a loving home that will welcome them both, recognizing their inseparable bond.
Since Waffles came into his life, Mochi has found true happiness. They shine like the brightest stars, living their best lives as spoiled indoor cats.
