Meet Bentley, the fearless feline who went from being found in an old car to having a bunch of new siblings to celebrate the New Year with!
Bentley started his journey at Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue in NC as a timid rescued kitten. Yep, he was discovered in an old car before finding his way to safety. The rescue team quickly set him up in a foster home, providing Bentley with a cozy spot to relax and decompress.
Initially a bit shy and unsure, Bentley’s personality began to shine with a little help from treats, patience, and loads of love. Within a week, he mustered up the courage to seek attention and even found his purr. Once he realized he was in good hands, he became quite the chatterbox.
Founder of the rescue, Sarah Kelly, became Bentley’s favorite human. Whenever she entered the foster room, Bentley greeted her with adorable, squeaky meows, all in exchange for attention and snuggles.
To amp up Bentley’s social life, Sarah introduced him to a few foster buddies his age, ensuring he had pals to play and cuddle with. Around the same time, a litter of kittens, affectionately known as the “snow kittens,” arrived at the rescue in need of round-the-clock care.
These little bundles of fur were initially scared and huddled together in their carrier. Sarah shared, “It won’t be long before their chilly facade ‘melts’ away.” With proper care, the snow kittens—Ice, Polar, Snow, Storm, Frost, and Blizzard—blossomed into curious, energetic explorers.
Polar, with his heterochromia and deafness, didn’t let anything slow him down. He, along with his siblings, became an integral part of the foster family.
Once the Snow Crew got the medical green light to mingle with other fosters, Bentley was over the moon to have new friends. He instantly clicked with the snow kittens, following them around like he’d always been part of the litter.
Bentley, with his outstanding jumping skills and the ability to stand on his hind legs like a little person, became the center of attention. His tiptoe stance, especially when food is involved, adds an extra dose of cuteness.
Bentley and the snow kittens, along with a couple of other foster buddies, ensure there’s never a dull moment in the foster room. They engage in playful antics, exploring every nook and cranny, and wrestling with each other.
Bentley’s no longer the shy kitten he once was. Instead, he’s transformed into a confident, inquisitive young cat with a very squeaky meow. Here’s to Bentley and his newfound family, ringing in the New Year with comfort, warmth, and love!
