A little stray kitten found herself in a tough spot on the streets until the kind folks at San Jose Animal Care and Control swooped in to rescue her.
Poor thing had a bum front leg, so the shelter crew reached out to Amber Rose over at Saving Grace Rescue to see if they could lend a hand.
Amber wasted no time and arranged for the kitten to get whisked away to a cozy foster home.
“From the moment she hopped into my car, she hasn’t stopped chatting,” said Joyce, her foster mom, with a smile.
Joyce gave her the name Dash and made sure she got a full check-up at the vet. Turns out, Dash had some nerve damage in her wrist from an avulsion, but she’s a trooper.
“Despite her wonky paw, she’s a little food thief who’s not shy about voicing her demands,” Joyce chuckled.
Dash turned out to be quite the chatterbox. She’d purr through her vet appointments and make sure her humans knew exactly what she wanted at all times.
“She’s a cuddle connoisseur,” Joyce explained. “If we’re eating, she’s on our laps. She’s like our little shadow, always talking and demanding love.”
Despite being pint-sized, Dash has a voice that could wake the neighbors. She’s got some serious spunk too, racing around and climbing like a pro.
“Even though she’s tiny, she’s got the spirit of a lioness. She can keep up with her big foster brother Hector like a champ,” Joyce said proudly.
And it seems Dash’s outgoing personality paid off because after a few weeks of being showered with love, she found her forever family.
“Dash has officially left the nest and is off to her forever home! Yay for Dash and her new parents!” the rescue announced happily on social media.
With her leg on the mend and her spirited attitude intact, Dash is ready for all the adventures that come her way.
