Ray Vargas, a self-confessed dog person, had his world turned upside down one fateful night when he heard the soft, pitiful meows coming from just outside his bedroom window.
Curiosity piqued, he ventured out to investigate and discovered a tiny, helpless kitten with eyes that had yet to see the world.
Ray shares the moment: “I found him on a rainy night, abandoned on the roof of the shed in my backyard. Just followed his meowing.”
It was evident that this newborn kitten was desperately seeking its mother, but she was nowhere in sight. Ray knew he couldn’t stand idly by; he had to lend a helping hand, or in this case, a helping paw, lest the fragile life of this tiny furball be extinguished.
“This little orphan did not appreciate being left out in the rain, so I picked up a kitten feeder kit complete with formula and a bottle,” Ray explained.
