Meet Steve, the charming ginger kitty who’s not your typical cat – he’s got a unique posse of followers, and they’re not other cats, but a whole bunch of fluffy lambs!

Steve, living his feline life in New Zealand, had a bit of a twist in his tale. He started out as an indoor cat, enjoying his cozy cat life.

But then, something interesting happened during those chilly winter days. Amanda, Steve’s human, decided to bring her flock of lambs indoors to keep them warm. And guess what? Steve and the lambs hit it off!

Yep, you heard it right. Steve and the lambs became quite the companions. Amanda shares, “He’d just sort of get used to them and spend time with them inside and then the lambs move outside and we started noticing Steve wasn’t inside anymore and we’re like ‘where’s Steve?'”

Turns out, Steve was out there, in the company of his woolly pals. He somehow became their go-to buddy, leading the way for the lambs.

He’s like their guide, their mentor, and their playmate. Wherever Steve wanders, the lambs trot along like he’s their cat-captain.

You might think Steve’s got a busy schedule with his lamb crew, but he’s no stranger to patience. When it’s bottle-feeding time for the lambs, Steve hangs back, cool as a cucumber, waiting for them to finish their meal.

Amanda sums it up best, “Steve will just be walking around the yard and they’ll be following him. Or he’ll be playing in the bushes and they’ll be inquisitive, looking to see what he’s doing and following him through the bushes.”

It’s a sight to behold – a ginger kitty leading a parade of lambs. And guess what? There’s a video capturing all these fuzzy moments.
