When Lisi Pickell moved to Florida, she was in a fragile state after suffering multiple personal tragedies. She was not expecting to make new friends any time soon, but life had other plans for her.
One day, as she looked out into her yard, she saw a small black cat staring back at her from the pet cemetery. She approached the feline and was struck by his immediate trust and kindness.
“We thought he was either a stray or a kitty that got let out to play,” Pickell said.
As it turned out, the cat, named Frank, belonged to Pickell’s new neighbors. However, they were more than happy to share their beloved pet with the couple, who were clearly finding solace in his presence.
“We text each other every evening,” Pickell said.
As the weeks went by, Frank proved to be more than just a cute and cuddly companion. He seemed to have an uncanny ability to sense when Pickell and her husband needed a little extra love and attention.
When Pickell lost one of her best friends, Frank knew she needed comfort. He pressed the side of his face to her leg and purred loudly. It was an incredible moment that Pickell will never forget.
“Once Frank came into our lives, we finally started laughing again,” Pickell said. “He is like this little package of healing and love sent straight from Heaven.”
It just goes to show that sometimes, the universe sends us exactly what we need, exactly when we need it. As Pickell said, “It was as if he just came prancing into our lives, spreading happiness everywhere like magic.”
