But for one particular postal worker, there’s a little more to the job than just delivering letters, bills, and packages. He’s also delivering joy – to a furry feline named Zeppelin.
Zeppelin is a handsome cat who loves nothing more than playing with papery playthings.
And as luck would have it, his house happens to be on the postal worker’s daily route.
So, every morning like clockwork, the mailman arrives outside Zeppelin’s front door, and slips mail through the mail slot. And of course, Zeppelin can’t resist the temptation to paw at the mail.
Realizing that Zeppelin has made a game out of his daily deliveries, the mailman decides to make things even more fun for the furry little guy. And from there, an adorable friendship is born.
“Zeppelin waits by the window, and when he sees the mailman coming down the street, he gets so excited and runs to the door!” says Marisa Jaffe, Zeppelin’s owner. “Highlight of his morning, for sure!”
When the mailman arrives, he doesn’t just deliver mail, he delivers artfully placed packages and letters with Zeppelin in mind. And the result? A happy, contented cat with a spring in his step.
For the mailman, this is undoubtedly the highlight of his morning too. Bringing a little joy to a random cat on his route. And for Jaffe, seeing the two of them enjoy their sweet routine brings her immeasurable joy as well.
“I’m very grateful for their friendship,” Jaffe said. “And because of it, now I have a friendship with the mailman, too.”
In a world where headlines can often be sad and depressing, it’s heartwarming to know that a simple interaction between a mailman and a cat can bring so much happiness to everyone involved.
