In a cozy home, there lived a furry sweetheart named Shuri. She was adopted by Simona and her husband, who fell in love with her tiny frame and cute button nose.
However, Shuri was a ticking time bomb of health issues, and it wasn’t long before she almost died.
When Simona and her husband brought Shuri home, they whisked her straight to the vet to ensure she was in good health.
Unfortunately, the vet discovered that Shuri had a fever and was battling an infection. The poor little thing was given injections to lower her fever and treat the infection, but two weeks later, the fever returned, and it was worse than before.
Shuri had to be hospitalized because her eyes and nose were now infected too.
The vet diagnosed her with feline viral Rhinotracheitis, which she probably contracted from her mother or littermates soon after she was born.
The situation was dire, and Shuri was so fragile that she had to be put on IV.
But the health scares didn’t stop there.
During her stay at the vet, they discovered that Shuri had a fungus on her skin that was causing her to lose her fur.
She had even infected her humans with the fungus during the short time she had been with them. It was a long road to recovery, but after three months, numerous vet visits, and lots of medications, Shuri finally emerged in the clear.
Despite her small size and health issues, Shuri is a happy and playful cat.
She loves to run around the house like a puma and spend hours birdwatching at the windows.
Simona even captured Shuri’s signature “Shurizaurus” pose, which is too cute for words!
So there you have it, folks. Shuri may have had a rocky start to life, but she’s a survivor with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that’s impossible to resist.
