When twellsphoto rescued Fancy the cat from an abusive home, he knew it would take time to earn her trust. But after months of patience and love, the once-scared feline blossomed into a snuggly companion.
And it seems like Fancy remembers the kindness that twellsphoto showed her. “My rescue cat stayed with my parents when I moved out, she gets so clingy when I visit!” he shared on Reddit.
But it wasn’t an easy road for Fancy. “Due to her last home being very abusive, her emotional state is very quirky. It took me about three months to get her to come out from under the bed. I placed her food and water and litter box under there until she was ready,” twellsphoto explained.
Now that Fancy is living with twellsphoto’s parents, she’s getting spoiled by both humans and furry friends. “She’s been with my parents for nearly two years and they spoil her rotten, plus her Boston Terriers love Fancy to death,” he said.
But even with all the love and attention she’s receiving, Fancy still holds a special place in twellsphoto’s heart. “Every time I visit my parents I spend as much time as possible with Fancy,” he said.
It’s clear that cats, like Fancy, never forget who helped them in their time of need.
