There’s a rescued kitten down in North Carolina that’s making waves with her Yoda-like ears and irresistible charm.
This little furball was discovered all alone on the streets, and it was clear she needed some TLC. After a thorough examination, the veterinarians found that she had an upper respiratory infection and a wound on her neck. So, off she went to Cabarrus Animal Hospital for some much-needed treatment.
“She is being treated by Dr. Alisha Kidwell, DVM. She is a sweet girl that is very affectionate,” shared Jana Aviles, a veterinary assistant at the hospital. “They aren’t sure about her exact age. She is young, maybe around a year old. She’s very small for an adult cat.”
Now, here’s the kicker: This adorable kitty tips the scales at just under 7 pounds and occasionally sticks out her tongue because she’s missing some teeth. But honestly, that just adds to her cuteness factor.
What makes her even more endearing? She’s a people person – or should I say, a people kitty? She adores human company, especially when it involves cuddles. Often, you’ll find her cozied up in the staff’s hoodies, snoozing away like a baby kangaroo.
“She’s quiet and shy but melts in your hands when you start petting her. She is just a petite little cuddle-bug, a lap cat,” Jana added.
Now, as for her official name, well, the hospital staff hasn’t quite nailed that down yet. But because her ears bear a striking resemblance to those of the legendary baby Yoda, they’ve affectionately nicknamed her Yoda Cat.
Once she’s fully recovered and back on her paws, this fortunate little feline will be up for adoption. And we have no doubt she’ll find a forever home where she’ll be showered with love and live her happiest life.
