Rowdy the cat has finally been nabbed after embarking on a three-week-long adventure at Boston’s Logan International Airport. Talk about a wild game of hide-and-seek!
This fearless feline managed to outsmart animal experts, airport security, and airline staff, making it an epic chase that kept everyone on their toes. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Rowdy decided today was the day to call it quits.
A spokesperson from Logan International Airport spilled the beans, saying, “Whether out of fatigue or hunger, we’ll never know, but this morning she finally let herself be caught.”
Now, let’s rewind a bit. Rowdy’s accidental airport escapade started when her owners, Patty and Rich Salhi, returned to the US on June 24 after 15 years in Germany with the Army. Sounds like a grand homecoming, right? Well, not for Rowdy. This adventurous black cat, all of 4 years old, caught sight of some feathery friends and hatched a plan for a grand escape from her cage to chase after them.
What followed was a colossal game of hide-and-seek, with construction workers, airport staff, and animal welfare champions joining forces to track down the elusive Rowdy.
Patty, in a state of disbelief, shared, “I thought, ‘What are the odds we’re actually going to get her back?’ We’re just so grateful to everyone who helped look for her.”
And the plot twist? After her capture, Rowdy underwent a health check and is now on her way back to the loving arms of her pet parents. Phew, what a rollercoaster!
