Meet Ben Franklin, a special kitty with a unique look and a heart full of love. Ben arrived at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford, Connecticut after his owner passed away. Despite being a bit nervous, he quickly stole the hearts of everyone at the shelter with his crossed eyes and sad-looking face.
Cute and Irresistible
Ben’s crosseyed and perpetually sad expression only add to his irresistible charm. “We noticed his crossed eyes right away and thought they were so cute,” said Crystal, a staff member at the Animal Welfare Society. Fortunately, Ben’s eyes do not cause him any discomfort or health issues, and they only make him more lovable.
Waiting for a Loving Home
You might think that Ben’s unique appearance would make it difficult for him to find a forever home, but it’s quite the opposite. Potential adopters are often drawn to Ben’s sweet face, but unfortunately, he has been waiting for over a year to find the right match.
“Ben’s ideal home would be quiet with someone patient and understanding,” said Crystal. “He would be okay with another easygoing cat that will respect his space and not want to play, but would prefer a home without dogs or small children. Even though Benjamin requires a special home, we know there is someone out there for him!”
Ready for Love
Ben also requires a special medicated diet, but his friends at the shelter believe that his current standoffishness is due to the stress of shelter life. Once he is settled into his new home, he is expected to come out of his shell and shower his new family with love.
So if you’re looking for a furry friend with a unique look and a heart full of love, consider adopting Ben Franklin. His friends at the Animal Welfare Society won’t stop looking until they find the perfect match for this special kitty.
