Here is the tale of Morag, a 21-year-old cat who’s starting a brand new chapter in her life. It all began when her former owner had to leave her at an RSPCA center in Worcester, UK, as they couldn’t care for her anymore.
Now, you might think finding a home for an older cat like Morag would be tough, but let me tell you, it was quite the opposite! The rescue shelter made an appeal on social media, and guess what? Her picture was shared over 3,000 times! Can you believe it? Offers of adoption came pouring in from all around the world – from the United States to Japan and Australia!
Ned Cotton, who manages the rehoming center, couldn’t believe the response: “We never thought for one moment that her story would take off like it did, but a 21-year-old cat looking for a retirement home seemed to resonate with people, and we were inundated with interest and offers of homes for her.”
The outpouring of love and support for Morag was overwhelming. People from all corners of the globe sent her messages of goodwill and even gifts and toys! It was truly heartwarming.
With so many offers, you might think Morag’s forever home would be far away, but guess what? Fate had a different plan! Her new family turned out to be nearby, and they couldn’t be happier. They adore her, and Morag loves being pampered with cuddles. Her favorite pastimes? Sleeping, eating, and strolling in the garden – sounds like the perfect life, right?
Nick, from the center, summed it up perfectly: “We’re delighted that she’s found a wonderful home to call her own, and we know she’s going to be thoroughly pampered and much loved there, just as she deserves.”
