Smush, the kitten, was blessed with an irresistibly squished face and a wild and wacky personality to match!
Her journey started on a desolate roadside when she was just a tender 10 days old, barely clinging to the thread of life.
Luckily, she was discovered by a compassionate soul named Lindsey, who happened to be a student at a nearby vet college. Lindsey immediately recognized that this tiny bundle of fur needed round-the-clock care, so she whisked her away to her own home.
The poor little furball was having trouble with eating, so Lindsey became her dedicated syringe-feeding superhero, providing nourishment every four hours. Thanks to Lindsey’s relentless efforts, this miniature warrior had a fighting chance at life.
As time went on, it was revealed that the kitten was born with a cleft palate and a few other congenital quirks. It seemed her biological mama wasn’t able to provide the specialized care she needed, which may explain why she was left abandoned.
To make matters more challenging, our courageous kitty also battled an upper respiratory infection and a pesky case of ringworm. But with each passing day, she grew stronger and more resilient, all thanks to Lindsey’s tender love and undivided attention.
After a month of receiving the royal treatment from Lindsey, the kitten moved in with Laura, a foster mom extraordinaire. Laura showered her with all the love and care her little heart desired. It was truly a match made in heaven.
When the time came for this remarkable feline to find her forever home, a loving couple who had been avidly following her journey on social media couldn’t resist welcoming her into their family.
And that’s how “Smush,” as she is affectionately known today, found her forever place in the world. She’s a spirited little warrior with a zest for life, surrounded by a doting family consisting of two adoring humans, three canine pals, three fellow feline companions, and even a cuddly hedgehog!
Smush adores all her fur siblings, particularly a rescued greyhound named Candy, with whom she often snuggles up for snoozes and shenanigans.
However, it must be said that Smush is quite the handful, always up to some mischief and keeping her humans on their toes. Her human mom amusingly remarks, “She has a little black spot on her neck that we’ve nicknamed her ‘devil’s kiss’ because one moment she’s purring in pure bliss, and the next moment she’s giving you an unexpected nibble on the face!”
By all accounts, Smush is the feisty firecracker of the family, adding a vibrant and spunky energy to their lives.
