Say hello to Oreo, the adorable black and white kitty with a heartwarming story to share!
One day, Oreo wandered into St. Augustine Health Ministries, a nursing home in Cleveland, Ohio. It seems like she immediately felt at home because she kept coming back, and the residents and staff quickly fell in love with her. Soon enough, she found herself a job – behind the reception desk!
Receptionist Carmen Delgado affectionately said, “She’s like the family here. She helps the residents, she helps the employees, and we just love her.” Oreo’s presence was truly a blessing for the residents, many of whom grew up with pets. She brought a sense of home, comfort, and joy to everyone she met.
The staff at the facility are incredibly proud of Oreo, some even carry photos of her. She became a beloved companion, encouraging residents to come out of their rooms and interact with her. Oreo even found a cozy spot on a wheelchair, keeping it warm for one of the residents.
But her favorite place to hang out? The reception desk, especially during after hours, where she’s become an expert at answering photo calls!
Oreo’s sweet nature and cuddles have brought immense happiness to the lives of the people at St. Augustine Health Ministries. They embraced her, giving her a forever home, and in return, she filled their days with purrs and endless affection.
