Picture this heartwarming tale: a kind couple out for a stroll, and what do they stumble upon? A pair of adorable kittens, tucked away in the bushes dangerously close to a bustling road.
The couple, being the heroes they are, decided to investigate. Lo and behold, there were two precious furballs – an orange kitten and a calico kitten – snuggled up in the greenery.
“I found them in the grass and bushes next to the road. There was food that someone had left there, but the kittens were too young to eat it,” shared one of the rescuers.
The moment the kittens caught sight of their saviors, they dashed out of the bushes, with the calico even attempting a leg-climbing adventure.
Worried that their mom might be around, the couple lingered but, alas, no sign of her. With the calico still hanging onto their legs, they scooped up the tiny duo and whisked them away to safety.
Post a good cleanup and some bottle-feeding action, the kittens drifted into a blissful slumber, their little bellies full, tucked into a warm bed.
The following day, a return to the bushes was on the agenda, hoping to spot the missing mother. A local confirmed the heartbreaking truth – the kittens had been abandoned without their mom.
Indoor life quickly became the norm for the siblings, now named Max (the orange one) and Blue (the calico). “Max is a little bigger than his sister, and has adorable pink toe beans. Blue is so affectionate and keeps trying to climb our legs,” the rescuers shared.
These two peas in a pod spend their days wrestling and chasing each other around the living room, and when it’s time for a catnap, they snuggle up together.
A visit to the vet earned them a clean bill of health, and for now, they’re happily staying with their rescuers. The future holds the promise of forever homes once they’re old enough.
Ah, isn’t it just purr-fect when a rescue story has a happy ending? These delightful kittens owe their second chance to the right people showing up at just the right time.
