Ever tuned into Gilmore Girls, that awesome TV show? Well, guess what? It’s time to introduce you to the cutest thing ever – the Gilmore Girls-themed litter of kittens!
So, here’s the scoop: These furballs entered the scene at Cat Adoption Team in Portland, Oregon, making a grand entrance from a county shelter.
Now, Laura and her daughter Cassidy are the dynamic duo fostering kittens for this cat-only, non-profit organization since 2011. Talk about commitment!
Laura spills the beans, “We take one litter at a time, anywhere from a single kitten to a mom with 9 kittens.”
That’s a lot of kitty love, right? On average, they foster around 25-30 kittens a year! And get this – they’ve even opened their hearts to foster some adorable pups in the last two years.
Meet Lorelai, the cool mom of the gang. She’s a two-year-old Siamese/Snowshoe polydactyl, meaning she’s got those extra toes that just add to her charm.
When she took this delightful family under her wing, her five little ones were about two weeks old, looking healthy and cute as buttons.
Here’s the twist – the shelter realized that Lorelai was FIV positive. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, you ask? Yeah, it’s a common cat woe. It makes our feline friends susceptible to infections, so the experts recommend an indoor, stress-free life for them.
Turns out, Lorelai had a history – she was microchipped! Someone’s pet turned street-savvy adventurer. Laura, the foster superhero, instantly fell for the family. Lorelai, apart from being sweet and mellow, turned out to be quite the chatterbox!
Now, let’s meet the five Gilmore Girls: Luke, the beauty bath enthusiast with a soprano voice; Kirk, the playful polydactyl who loves chewing his toy baguette; Paris, the cutie who adores belly rubs; Babette, the sweet cuddle bug; and Sookie, the playful young calico lady.
The good news? When these cuties were six weeks old, they all found their forever homes! Each sibling is joining a family with an older kitty sibling, and Lorelai gets her own human family – no dogs or other cats for her, thank you very much.
