Meet Duck, the tabby kitten with an extraordinary tale of resilience. At just two weeks old, Duck found herself at a clinic in Florida with severe injuries, leaving her with only two legs as both of her front legs were mangled. While the cause of her accident remains uncertain, one thing was clear – this determined little kitten had a strong will to survive.

Duck’s human shared her story on Instagram, recounting how she was brought to her sister’s clinic, where a skilled surgeon performed a double amputation to save her life. The suspicion was that Duck might have been seeking warmth in the engine bay of a car when the accident occurred.

The surgery was successful, and once Duck had regained her strength, the search began for a foster home where she could recuperate at her own pace and learn to navigate life on two legs.

Duck quickly adapted to her new life in foster care. She wasted no time exploring her surroundings, proving that nothing could slow her down. Her foster family, initially intending to care for her temporarily, found themselves falling in love with her indomitable spirit, making her a permanent member of their lively household, which includes three dogs, another kitty, and six hens.

Despite having just two legs, Duck figured out how to move about efficiently, even using her tail for balance and standing upright, which earned her the endearing nickname “Purrasic Duck.” At six months old, her family proudly declares her the fastest two-legged kitten ever.

Duck spends her time happily exploring the house, and her family is amazed at how well she gets along with her much larger canine companions. Thanks to her close bond with the dogs, she now believes she’s part of the pack.

Duck’s strength and determination inspire everyone she meets, and she brings boundless joy to her forever family, even charming her feathered siblings – the hens!

Keep up with Duck and her adventures on Instagram, where her remarkable journey continues to unfold.
