So, there’s this cat, right, and he’s just chilling by the glass door that leads to the backyard. Why? Because there’s something intriguing going on outside.
Yep, this furry feline is completely mesmerized by an unexpected visitor in its territory. You can tell by the way he’s standing there, not moving an inch; it’s like he can’t take its eyes off the scene unfolding outdoors.
The cat’s owner, KR Paul, noticed this amusing situation and decided to grab her camera to capture the moment. She snapped some pictures of the cat, clearly fascinated by whatever was happening outside. And what was it? A possum, sneaking around in the garden.
Moooooom, what is it????? pic.twitter.com/sNzIVfGPbw

KR Paul couldn’t resist sharing these snapshots on her pet’s Twitter page, aptly named Strategy Cat. In the caption, she humorously wrote, “Moooooom, what is it?????” But don’t worry, she didn’t leave us hanging. She answered the burning question, saying, “It’s a Florida garbage poodle.”
So, there you have it. The cat was simply spellbound by a surprise guest, the possum. And it seems like KR Paul’s pet isn’t the only one amused by this encounter. Other Twitter users got a kick out of the pictures too.
As one user pointed out, possums can actually be quite handy neighbors because they help keep tick populations in check. So, not only did the cat get a little entertainment, but it also had a useful garden visitor to boot.
