Meet Zappa the Cat – the feline doppelgänger of the rock legend and notorious cat aficionado, Frank Zappa.

If you’re familiar with Frank Zappa, spotting the resemblance between him and Zappa the Cat is pretty uncanny.

We caught up with Zappa’s human, Lisa Williams, who shared that Zappa isn’t her first feline to bear a striking resemblance to the iconic musician.

“I had an Oriental Shorthair named Marceau, who was black and white with a mustache just like Frank Zappa,” Lisa said.

“Everyone said he looked just like Frank Zappa, and some even referred to him as Zappa Cat.”

Sadly, Marceau passed away from heart failure at just three years old, leaving Lisa devastated.

But fate had something special in store for Lisa. Not long after Marceau’s passing, she stumbled upon a black and white kitten with a mustache from a breeder in Russia.

Despite the breeder initially intending to keep him for breeding purposes, Lisa persisted until she convinced her to let him join her family.

“I named him Zappa in memory of Marceau, my original Zappa cat,” Lisa shared.

And thus, Zappa the Cat found his way into Lisa’s heart and home!

While Zappa shares Marceau’s distinctive mustache, their personalities couldn’t be more different.

“This Zappa couldn’t be more different,” Lisa explained. “Marceau loved to be held and talked all the time, whereas Zappa is quiet and prefers to keep to himself.”

Nevertheless, Zappa is full of personality. He’s the most playful of Lisa’s cats and enjoys games like hide and seek and chasing with her daughter.

He’s also quite the adventurer, loving rides in his cat stroller and Lisa’s laundry basket on wheels.

Lisa affectionately calls her clan of Oriental Shorthairs the “Oriental Shorthair Squad,” which includes Keebler, Thatcher (aka Thatchy), and Peterbald LeMieux, or LeMieux for short.

Zappa particularly adores Thatchy and enjoys cuddling up with him in the evenings.

But Zappa isn’t just playful – he’s also a serious nap enthusiast. He loves burrowing under covers for a cozy snooze, especially if there’s another cat nearby to groom.

And let’s not forget his peculiar habit of licking sofa pillows, especially the alpaca fur one – talk about quirky!

Zappa is also a big fan of watching TV, even if it’s just videos on Lisa’s phone. Perhaps he’s a fan of watching himself in action?

In conclusion, Zappa the Cat is a lovable, quirky character, much like his namesake. He’s truly one-of-a-kind!
