A litter of orphaned kittens was found in Montreal, Canada.
Although all of the kittens were taken to a shelter, one of them was much smaller than the others.
But don’t underestimate this little fighter, because this is the story of Bambie!
After all the other kittens were nursed back to health, the runt of the litter, Bambie, was still struggling.
The shelter staff called Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help, and they gave her all the medical attention she needed. “Her development was delayed, and her body was very tiny in proportion to her head,” said the shelter staff.
But with medication for GI problems, antibiotics, and supplements to fight off her illness, Bambie began to gain weight and respond to treatment.
Even though she was still only half the size for her age at eight weeks old, she did all the things that kittens of her age should do.
As Bambie’s personality blossomed, she loved climbing on her human’s shoulders and snuggling in the crook of their neck.
“She will sneak into every place possible but always stays close to her humans,” said the shelter staff. One of her carers even called her a “cute gremlin” with her fuzzy hair and big eyes.
After two months in foster care, Bambie grew into a fluffy, gorgeous cat and was ready for her next adventure in life.
This beautiful tabby girl went up for adoption, and a family fell in love with her and took her to her forever home.
Bambie loves her new life, especially all the shoulder rides and cuddles!
In the end, it’s not about how big or small you are, but about the size of your heart.
And Bambie’s heart is just as big as her purrs.
