Meet Ripley, the tiny Tuxedo kitten who was found in a cat colony in Los Angeles.
Despite being weak and the only survivor of her litter, Ripley had a strong will to survive and was rescued by a kind-hearted TNR rescuer who heard her crying.
Luckily for Ripley, Ashley Kelley, a foster volunteer with Wrenn Rescues, heard about her and knew she could help.
“Ripley has the strongest little spirit and she was not ready to give up. I don’t think she would have made it much longer if her rescuer hadn’t found her,” Ashley said.
With round-the-clock care, proper medical attention, and lots of love, Ripley began to thrive and her appetite grew stronger every day.
But Ripley needed a companion, so Ashley took in another tiny kitten who was found in a tree all alone.
His rescuers named him Pikachu, and he was also taken to Wrenn Rescues for medical attention.
“Four days later, he was like a new man. He was very active, silly and cuddly,” Ashley said.
When Pikachu was medically cleared, it was time for him to meet Ripley. The two tiny kittens hit it off immediately and became inseparable buddies.
“They are bonded in the best possible way. You can pick one up and the other won’t panic but will stay close by to keep an eye on their buddy. They sleep together for all their naps, and they groom each other,” Ashley said.
Despite Ripley appearing to be the stronger of the two, she always shares her toys with Pikachu. The dynamic duo is now ready for adoption and will hopefully find their forever home together.
