An elderly woman who loved her two Birman cats more than anything in the world. She had taken care of Missy and Zipper since they were kittens and they were her precious babies.
Everything was going great for 15 years until the woman fell ill and could no longer care for her beloved cats.
The woman asked her family members if anyone could take care of them, but unfortunately, no one was able to.
So, with a heavy heart, she had to take them to the Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control in Virginia.
When the shelter staff took the cats in, they found a note that made them all teary-eyed. The note talked about Missy and Zipper’s favorite food and treats, showing how much the woman cared about them.
The shelter staff was moved by the woman’s love for her cats, so they were determined to keep the cats together. They posted about the cats on Facebook, hoping to find them a new home.
Luckily, a woman from Oregon saw the post and forwarded it to her parents. The couple fell in love with Missy and Zipper and decided to adopt them.
They went to the shelter to meet the cats, and Zipper immediately started licking their faces. After a few minutes, Missy warmed up to them too.
Now, Missy and Zipper are doing great in their new forever home with their new humans. They are happy and loved, and everyone is overjoyed that they found a new loving family.
