Prepare to be smitten with the story of Kanji and Sushii, the inseparable cat sisters from Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA), who gave birth to twelve little fur-balls together!

These wonderful cat moms are taking turns in nursing and caring for each other’s kittens. What a team they make!

“These mamas are inseparable and share duties caring for their newborns (such as nursing),” VOKRA gushed on Facebook.

Even when they were pregnant, Kanji and Sushii were the perfect tag team. “The mothers are SO loving to each other. They groom each other and nurse each other’s kittens interchangeably. Another bonus, when 1 mother needs a break, the other can be on duty,” shared Elaine R. on Facebook.

VOKRA is working hard to ensure that these bonded pairs are adopted together.

It’s no surprise that they are committed to keeping Kanji and Sushii together, who are a remarkable pair of cats.

From pregnancy to motherhood, these two lovely cats have shown us the true meaning of teamwork and companionship.

May they continue to raise their fur-babies with love and affection, and may they all find loving homes.
