When Jessica Parken and her fiancé Andy Brumagen decided to swing by a rescue center to check out the resident felines, they didn’t expect to be greeted by a charming tabby cat in a cozy kitty condo.
“The moment we saw him, there was this instant connection,” Jessica recalls. The tabby, with his large, soulful eyes, seemed to say, “Hey, guys, I’ve been waiting for you!”
As Jessica and Andy approached, the tabby wasted no time in showing his affection. “He was so friendly, almost like he was saying, ‘You’re my people,'” Jessica says. When she tried to put him down, he clung to her, as if whispering, “Take me home, please. I want someone to love me.”
Unable to resist, the couple lovingly named their newfound feline friend Clutch. However, reality hit them – they already had a senior cat at home, and introducing another furry family member might be overwhelming for him.
Leaving Clutch behind at the shelter was undoubtedly tough for Jessica and Andy, but they wanted to ensure the best for him.
Jessica decided to share a heartwarming video of her cuddling with Clutch on a local Facebook group, hoping to find him the perfect forever home. The response was nothing short of amazing.
“People flooded in, both online and at the shelter, expressing their interest in adopting Clutch,” Jessica happily shares. Applications piled up, and it wasn’t long before Clutch had a stack of potential families eager to welcome him into their hearts and homes.
“This magical beast has found a home! The adoption sign is down!” Jessica joyfully announces. Thanks to her initiative and the community’s response, Clutch’s story now has the happy ending he deserves. Nice job, Jessica!
