Since he was just a wee kitten, Arlo has had an insatiable thirst for fun and games.
Whether it’s chasing toys, pouncing on shadows, or just cuddling up with his humans, this cat never gets tired of having a good time.
“As soon as he wakes up, he’s ready to play,” says Arlo’s mom, Meaghan James. And Arlo’s favorite game of all? Fetching his mom’s hair ties, of course.
Now, before you start picturing a cat chewing on elastic bands, let us assure you that Arlo is far too sophisticated for that.
Instead, he loves to bat them around, toss them in the air, and even dip them in water.
Yes, you read that right – this cat is all about soaking his hair ties.
For over a year now, Arlo has been dipping his hair ties in his cat fountain, which is adorable in its own right.
But one day, when James stepped away for a few minutes, she returned to find Arlo dipping his beloved hair tie in the toilet instead.
We can only imagine James’ surprise and amusement as she discovered her cat indulging in this less-than-sanitary activity.
And while Arlo may have found a new source of water to play with, his humans were quick to put a stop to it.
“Arlo is no longer allowed to dip them in the toilet,” says James. “If he doesn’t fish them back out, I have to!” Instead, Arlo is encouraged to stick to his trusty cat fountain when he’s in the mood for a soak.
So there you have it – the tale of Arlo and his toilet-dipping hair tie habit.
While it may not be the most hygienic game in the world, we can’t help but be charmed by this playful feline and his endless antics.
